Ever since 1944, Synteko has launched many high quality surface treatments such as
varnishes and oils as well as maintenance products for durable and beautiful wooden floors.
The fantastic story about Synteko began in a laboratory in Stockholm.
Chemists who at the time produced glue accidentally dropped urea resin on
a laboratory bench. The incident was first seen as a problem, as it was difficult to take
away this hard and transparent subject, came instead to mean great opportunities for
to protect wooden surfaces and not least to save and preserve exposed floors.

All Synteko products have been developed to meet the demand of flooring contractors
of high quality and at the same time meet conscious floorers' needs for sustainable and
naturally beautiful wooden floors. Synteko's various surface treatments are based on the concept of
they should be light and flexible to work with, to give floor contractors the best
possible results for their customers. Synteko's surface treatments are produced just north of
Gothenburg on the Swedish Bohus coast.
